Collecting

I collect race numbers. I have participated in 4 5k races and two mud runs. I consider finishing a race a major accomplishment. Most of my races were done win one of the teams that I play for. I keep my race numbers as a memory of my accomplishments. They all hang from my dresser in my room

Blue Collection

Throughout the week, we were told to bring in a household item that is blue. Items from pencils to potato chip bags were brought in. All of the items that were brought in explained something about the our classes. Many pens and pencils were brought in. Also many bag of chips were brought in. This shows that many students are interested in school and writing. The bags of chips show is that we like to snack and eat on the go. Most of the things reflect my interests because I use some of them every day. Portia Munson's collection are very similar to ours. Her collection was all one color and was full of household items

Comparing the Jar and Bike

The bike and candy jar contrasted eachother in many ways. The jar was drawn with colored pencils and had many highlights to show three dimensions. The bike was drawn with different types of graphite pencils and value was put on darker objects. I enjoyed drawing the bike more then the jar. The jar was very difficult because of the glares and the shoulders. I liked the bike because it was all done in pencil and it was easier to erase. I personally think that my bike drawing was better then my jar. I liked drawing with the pencils because it was easier to put value on things.

Candy drawing

When drawing the Halloween candy, it was very difficult to get the shape of the glass. The candy became distorted when in the glass and it was very hard to replicate that. I learned to put value on objects that were not in the bent part of the jar. The hardest part of the jar to draw was the top  and the shoulder. There was  a lot of highlights and all of the candy became blurry. I liked the lid of my jar the best because I thought it was the most realistic. Even though the jar was EXTREMELY hard to draw, it was a great learning experience.
